MEET OUR TEAM

MEG DOUGLAS M.Ed., RCT-C

Co-Owner

Director of Education and Wellness

Registered Counselling Therapist

Pro EFW

Meg Douglas holds a Bachelor of Education in Physical Education from McGill University and a Master of Education in Counselling from Acadia University. Originally born in Montreal, Meg began her riding journey in Miramichi, New Brunswick, before continuing through Alberta and then Ontario. She competed successfully on Ontario’s competitive hunter/jumper ‘A’ circuit, with the highlight of her amateur career being the opportunity to ride at the world-class Spruce Meadows with her mount, Sterling.

Transitioning from competition to equestrian show management, Meg worked as an Ingate Manager for EMG at Palgrave and at major shows across Ontario and Quebec, gaining a comprehensive view of both the sport and business sides of the equestrian world.

Today, as Co-Owner of Sunnyridge Equestrian, Meg combines her expertise as an NCCP-certified coach, Professional Equine Facilitated Wellness (Pro-EFW) practitioner, and Registered Counselling Therapist (RCT-C). Her Pro-EFW certification ensures that equine-assisted wellness sessions are rooted in nationally recognized standards for safety, ethics, and trauma-informed care.

Through an integrated approach to counselling, mindset coaching, and equine-facilitated wellness, Meg supports clients in developing confidence, emotional resilience, and personal growth — both in life and in the saddle.

A West Coast kid at heart—having grown up in Alberta—Kevin is now planting roots in beautiful Nova Scotia with his family. He holds an MBA from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management and brings both vision and strategy to the operations at Sunnyridge. We’re grateful to have Kevin "behind the reins," supporting his family’s passion and helping share the land and its opportunities with the wider community.
