MEg DOUGLAS M.Ed., RCT-C

Co-Owner
Director of Education and Wellness
Registered Counselling Therapist
Meg Douglas holds a Bachelor of Education in Physical Education from McGill University and a Master of Education in Counseling from Acadia University. With a rich background in equestrian sport, Meg grew up competing in the hunter/jumping rings in Ontario, achieving success on the ‘A’ circuit, and competed at Spruce Meadows with her equine partner, Sterling.
Inspired by her experiences alongside some of Canada’s top athletes, Meg transitioned from competition to equestrian show management, working as an ingate Manager for EMG at Palgrave and at various shows across Ontario and Quebec. This role provided her with valuable insights into both the competitive and business aspects of the equestrian world.
Now, as a mother of young girls who share her passion for horses, Meg is dedicated to fostering a nurturing environment at Sunnyridge, where children and adults alike can cultivate an appreciation for nature, horsemanship, and community. Recognized as an NCCP Level Coach and a registered counselling therapist, Meg combines her coaching expertise with her skills in sport psychology and mindset counseling and Equine facilitated Wellness. This unique blend allows her to guide counselling clients and young equestrians in both their personal and athletic development, ensuring they not only excel in the sport but also grow as well-rounded individuals.
