This past weekend’s Ice Cream Social at Sunnyridge was more than just a sweet treat—it was a heartfelt celebration of the community we’re building together. We were grateful that the rain held off, allowing families, riders, and horses to gather and enjoy the afternoon. Kids played with the bunnies, visited the chickens, and explored the farm while parents and riders connected over cones of ice cream and shared stories from the season.

Here at Sunnyridge Equestrian, we’re not just teaching people how to ride—we’re creating a space where families and communities can come together. Over the past seven months, we’ve been growing—retrofitting the farm, expanding programs, and shaping a facility that can grow alongside our amazing riders. It hasn’t always been smooth—there have been growing pains, muddy boots, dust, and detours—but through it all, our clients have shown us patience, encouragement, and a spirit of partnership we’re truly grateful for.

We’ve now built something really special: a community of equestrians and families who support each other’s growth—not just in the saddle, but in life. Whether it's developing strong riding skills, a sport-focused mindset, or simply learning to care deeply for our horses, we’re growing together.

As we head into an exciting summer of camps and lessons, we’re thrilled to continue that momentum. Our fall riding program is already waitlisted, and we can't wait to see what the Nova Scotia show jumping and horse show season has in store for our riders.

Thank you for being part of the Sunnyridge journey. Whether you’re new to the barn or have been with us through every trot, transition, and construction truck, we’re so glad you’re here.

See you in the barn,

The Sunnyridge Team
